Guwahati: As the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput continues to unfold, latest reports in the media suggest that an OTT platform is all set to make a web series based on his life.
Making the claims on his Instagram handle, Pakistani actor Hasan Khan wrote, 'Alhamdulillah got a project which is really close to my heart, playing Sushant Singh Rajput's character for @primevideoin'. Hasan also shared a picture of his side profile placed next to Sushant's photo as he expressed his joy.
However, Amazon Prime has denied hiring the Pakistani actor for the role. "Amazon Prime Video has not commissioned or licensed any project on the late Sushant Singh Rajput with actor Hasan Khan or for that matter with anyone else", the company wrote in a statement.
National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA), of which Hasan is an alumni, shared his post on social media, but later took it down.
A source close to Amazon had unofficially told Bollywood Hungama that no project on the life of Sushant Singh Rajput has been greenlit and he has no idea why he (Hasan Khan) tweeted about playing Sushant Singh Rajput.
Nevertheless, Hasan Khan has shared a BTS from the upcoming project that he now claims would be aired on an 'Indian Web'.
Meanwhile, Hasan has replaced 'Primevideoin' with 'Indian Web' on his post.
This comes amid immense speculation that filmmakers are queuing up to make a biopic on the deceased actor who starred in several hit films during his brief career.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra residence on June 14 and since then, not even a single day went by without his fans remembering the actor.
Sushant's death sparked debates on nepotism, with fans and people from the entertainment industry criticism certain elements in Bollywood.
