Poonam Pandey's Husband Sam Bombay Arrested On Charges of Physical Assault

GUWAHATI: The Mumbai police on Monday 8 November arrested Sam Bombay, husband of Actress Poonam Pandey for allegations of physical assault against him by his wife. Poonam lodged an FIR in Bandra police station against her husband and claimed that her husband has physically assaulted her leading to injuries.

According to sources, Poonam was later admitted to the hospital after suffering from injuries in the eye, face, and head. Mumbai Police quoted that, "The case has been registered against Sam Bombay under the sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC). The actress has suffered serious injuries on her head, eyes, and face."

This is not the first assault case against Sam Ahmed Bombay known popularly as Sam Bombay who is a director, editor, and producer. Earlier in 2020 two weeks after his marriage with actress and model Poonam Pandey, Poonam filed a complaint against Sam for molesting, threatening, and assaulting her.

As per the complaint of domestic violence and sexual assault Sam was then arrested in Goa. Poonam decided to end their marriage after suffering from physical torture as she said to sources that it is not a good idea to continue this abusive relationship with such a person who had beaten up her like an animal.

About the physical assault that she faced in 2020, Poonam explained that while arguing Sam started hitting her by punching on the face, pulling her hair and banging her head against the corner of the bed and she thought that she is going to die but she had somehow managed to come out of the room.

When Sam got bail both of them again reunited and Poonam had said that ups and downs are common in any marriage and mentioned that things were blown out of proportion and the two of them are trying to work on the differences between them. After dating for three years the Poonam and Sam got married on 10 September.

Poonam said that she had got beaten up very badly this time regarding it as a half murder. Sam starts crying in front of her saying sorry as usual and promising not to do the same again.
