Shoojit Sircar's New Amazon Movie, Sardar Udham Trailer; Vicky Kaushal as Patriotic Avenger

On Thursday, 30th September the first trailer of the movie Sardar Udham has been launched by Amazon Prime Video in which Actor Vicky Kaushal plays the role of revolutionary and rebellious Udham Singh who is known to have killed the former lieutenant governor of Punjab Michael O'Dwyer. The story goes as on 13th March 1940, lieutenant governor Michael O'Dwyer was slaughtered to death in order to take revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre that occurred in 1919. The release date of the biographical film Sardar Udham Singh is October 16, 2021.

The official trailer which is out now shows the part of an operation led by Udham Singh where the audience could see the glimpse of the arrival of Udham Singh in England with a wrong and untrue identity of himself. The operation enacted by him starts from the implementation of the planning phase as shown in the trailer. He then in England kept stalking upon the victim and then successfully executed his plan by implementing the assassination. In the attempt of murder in the trailer, the irreplaceable and high valued targets gave the hints of Valkyrie of Bryan Singer and Munich of Steven Spielberg.

The movie namely Sardar Udham is a narrative of the life of Sardar Udham Singh, someone who is known for his compassionate, brave and courageous character. Udham Singh was a man with patriotic values who had the courage of struggling and fighting selflessly against the British conquering India. The centre of attention in the film aims at the determined mission of Sardar Udham Singh which shows his vengeance as the life of his beloved, the one he truly loved was killed brutally in the Jillianwala Bagh Massacre of 1919.

Vicky Kaushal mentioned that the story of Sardar Udham Singh which was acted by him was very much inspiring and fascinating to him. He tried his best to do justice in the movie through his character being Udham Singh as the movie very distinctly portrays qualities like courage, sacrifice, passion and sufferings. He stated that it has required a lot of physical and mental strength to get into such a character and bringing the story into the life of such a person well-known for his heroism, whose courage and bravery is unmatchable.
