New Delhi: Renowned actor Kazan Khan, known for his captivating portrayal of villainous characters in South Indian films, has tragically passed away due to a heart attack. The news of his demise was shared by NM Badusha, a producer and production controller, through a heartfelt post on Facebook, leaving the Malayalam, Tamil, and Kannada film industries in shock.

Kazan Khan began his acting journey in 1992 with the film "Senthamizh Paattu," where he played the character of Boopathy. Throughout his career, he graced the screen in numerous movies, gaining recognition for his memorable performances in films such as "Sethupathi IPS," "Kattumarakkaran," and "Mappillai Gounder." He excelled in comical villain roles, leaving a lasting impact in movies like "Ullathai Allitha," "Naam Iruvar Namakku Iruvar," and "Priyamanavale." With over 50 films to his credit, Kazan Khan's talent spanned across Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada cinema.

In the Malayalam film industry, Kazan Khan made his mark with his role in the Mohanlal-starrer "Gandharvam." He went on to essay significant roles in other leading Malayalam films, including "The King," "Varnapakittu," "Dreams," and "Rajadhiraja." Notably, his portrayal of Vikram Ghorpade in "The King" garnered praise. He was also known for his role as a dreaded terrorist in "CID Moosa."
