Vivek Oberoi Relates With Priyanka Chopra’s Recent Bollywood Revelations

MUMBAI: Vivek Oberoi recently recalled his infamous news conference that he conducted 20 years ago in response to Priyanka Chopra's revelations about Bollywood. Speaking of the same, Vivek expressed his gratitude for overcoming that to a news source. 

He claims that he survived the trial by fire and came out on top. He did, however, add that not everyone would be that fortunate. Vivek reflected on his experience since the press conference 20 years prior and said that a lot of it was needless.

Many restrictive stories and a lot of lobbying are kind of what Priyanka has been pointing to as well. He said it has been the hallmark of our business. It's been one of our industry's darker edges. And Vivek told the media that he had been the target of it. 

The actor continued, saying that he is aware of how frustrating it is and how it can leave one feeling drained and worn. Vivek recounted spending 14 months at home doing nothing after giving a critically acclaimed and financially successful performance in "Shoot Out at Lokhandwala." 

He desired to take action that would advance him beyond that. Oberoi moved his attention to business and philanthropy. Vivek continued by saying that Privanka's most recent assertion is motivational in terms of locating a new space.

He claimed that after she ventured outside her comfort zone and broke out of a rut, something miraculous occurred for her both personally and professionally.

He continued by stating how fragile artists are. "This world is a very unsafe place. By their very nature, artists are more vulnerable and so live in a very delicate state. No matter if it was the MeToo movement, the "casting couch," bullying, or plain lobbying, all of these things sap the joy from being creative. I'm delighted that these issues are being discussed and will eventually go away."
