Dr. Vikram Sarabhai got married in 1942 to a classical dancer named Mrinalini who met him when he was at IISc with Homi Bhabha. Mrinalini and Vikram Sarabhai had two children and in 2016 the former passed away aged 97.

Mallika's son Revanta Sarabhai is an actor and choregrapher and is regarded as one of the few male Bharatnatyam soloists in India. Revanta got married to Priyanka Raja in the year 2017.
Mallika's daughter named Anahita is an educator, performer, poet and activist who is the director of QueerAbad, a support team for queer folk in Ahmedabad.
In mentioning the second child of Vikaram Sarabhai named Kartikeya Sarabhai, he is an environmental teacher who had received the fourth-highest civilian award Padma Shree.
Kartikeya founded the Centre for Environmental Education in Ahmedabad and is working as the Chairperson of the pharmaceutical firm named Ambalal Sarabhai Enterprises Limited which was established by her grandfather Ambalal Sarabhai.
He is unmarried and is one of the trustees of PRL (Physical Research Laboratory) and Sabarmati Ashram Preservation and Memorial Trust.
