11 college teachers of Assam commended for research-based work

GUWAHATI: In a bid to encourage college teachers, the Directorate of Higher Education on Thursday awarded letters of special commendation to 11 college teachers of the State for their research-based work.

The commendation letters were handed over by the Director of Higher Education, Assam, Dharma Kanta Mili.

The recipients include Dr Arup Kumar Nath (Guwahati College), Dr Satyajit Kalita (Guwahati College), Dr Kalpana Talukdar ( Pragjyotish College), Dr Diganta Choudhury (B Borooah College), Dr Bhaskar Jyoti Baruah (Golaghat DR College), Dr Bipul Sarma (Barpeta MC College), Dr Pranab Phukan (Sarupathar College), Dr Prapti Thakur (Sarupathar College), Dr Bhabajit Gayan (Barpeta BBK College), Dr Kamaleswar Kalita (Tinsukia College) and Dr Soumitra Pujari (Jorhat College).

Among others, the event was attended by several academicians of the Gauhati University and Tezpur University along with senior officials of the Directorate of Higher Education.
