13-Year-Old Girl Brutally Murdered in Kharghuli, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: In a sensational incident, a 13-year girl was brutally murdered in the Kharguli area of Uzan Bazar, Guwahati today.

The victim has been identified as Dimpal Umapati who lived in the area with her parents. The girl was alone in the home when the barbaric murder happened. Her body was recovered on a bed in her room.

After the initial investigation, police sources told a pressure cooker and a pota guti (a grinder stone used to grind some food items like ginger, turmeric) was recovered near her body.

Police suspected that the killer used these to murder the girl. She was a student of class 8 at Angels of God High School.

Police investigation into the murder is going on.
