GUWAHATI: Himanta Biswa Sarma led Assam Government will mark its two-year anniversary on May 10. On the occasion of two year anniversary, on May 11, the Assam Government will be recruiting nearly 50,000 youths for various government posts in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Similarly, the Assam Government has initiated a new plan in the month of May, where they will be inaugurating 2 lakh houses under the (PMAY-G) Prime Minister Awas Yojana (Gramin) on a single day.

According to the Panchayat and Rural Development Department sources, these 2 lakh houses are already completed and are ready to be inaugurated, but the date of inauguration is yet to be decided, but it will be in the month of May.

As per plan, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will be inaugurating these houses in a state-level programme. And on the same day, the ministers in various districts will be inaugurating the houses.

On Monday, Minister Ranjeet Kumar Dass visited two districts, Chirang and Bongaigaon where he reviewed the construction of PMAY-G houses.
