3D tissue printing created by IIT Guwahati scientists

GUWAHATI: Stepping up their innovative ideas, the scientists of IIT Guwahati have been making some amazing inventions since the past few months. This time, by using the protein from the native Muga silk, the scientists have created a bio-ink with live cells which can be used for 3D printing of tissues. This can hugely transform organ implantation routine between patients and donors. A patent for the bio-ink has already been applied for by the research team.
