GUWAHATI: After their meeting with party MLAs and MPs, the four AICC (All India Congress Committee) secretaries attached to the general secretary of the APCC (Assam Pradesh Congress Committee) have left for four different directions to interact with lower-level leaders and workers of the party. The four – Aniruddha Singh, Vikash Upadhyay, Prithviraj Prabhakar Sathe and Aditya Sarma – had a meeting with the State Congress leaders in a hotel here on Wednesday. Issues like the forthcoming Assembly election in the State and the problems which the party had been confronting were discussed at the meeting.
Aniruddha Singh addressed a number of meetings of the party like district committees, block committees, heads of various cells and departments, heads of frontal organizations, former MLAs and MPs, elected members of Zila Parishads and panchayat representatives in Silchar on Friday. Singh is set to leave for Hailakandi and Karimganj before returning to Guwahati on the night of December 27 when he will sit for a meeting with the Kamrup (M) district committee of the party. He'll then leave for Morigaon, Haflong and Hojai. He will also visit Karbi Anglong (east and west) districts and Nagaon. He will return to Guwahati on January 3, 2021.
AdityaSarma attended a number of party meetings at Barama. He will visit Nalbari, Hajo, Mangaldai, Udalguri and Tezpur before returning to Guwahati on December 28, 2020.
By December 27, 2020 Prithviraj Prabhakar Sathe will cover Dhubri, Kokrajhar, Bongaigaon, Chirang, Goalpara and Barpeta districts.
By December 29, 2020, Vikash Upadhyay will address party meetings in Jorhat, Sivasagar, Charaideo, Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Dhemaji, North Lakhimpur, Biswanath and Gohpur.
