GUWAHATI: The Hare Krishna Movement, Guwahati has started a four-day-long celebration of Krishna Janmashtami on Thursday at the Hare Krishna Mandir in North Guwahati.
As part of the celebration, a Nandotsav festival will be celebrated on August 20, which will coincide with Vyasa Puja on the occasion of the 126th birth anniversary of Abhay Charanaravinda Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder of ISKCON.
Other programmes will include nam-kirtan,cultural events and chappan bhog (under which 108 varieties of prasad will be offered to devotees.
