4,717 teachers to get appointment letters: Minister Ranoj Pegu

GUWAHATI: State Education Minister Dr Ranoj Pegu on Tuesday said the government was committed to filling up over 1 lakh vacancies. Many appointments will be made on September 23 and as many as 4,717 teachers will be given appointment letters.

Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, the Education Minister said that teachers with grace marks would also be appointed. College teachers and TET pass teachers will be recruited. "As per court order, 298 selected candidates of TET exam will get appointments and soon the education department will publish a white paper," he said and added,"Advertisements will be published soon for the post of teachers."
