GUWAHATI: The 59th conference of Asom Natya Sanmilan will be kicked off in Duliajan from February 18 to 22.
The conference will include a wide range of programmes, award ceremonies, exhibition, book and garment fairs and more.
On the opening day of the conference on February 18, a representative camp will be opened which will be followed by an executive meeting.
On February 19, a flag hoisting ceremony will be held to mark the occasion. Later in the day, a cultural procession will be taken followed by different cultural programmes.
A total of four plays will be staged during the conference.
On the last day of the conference, different awards will be presented to noted artistes. The awards and awardees include — Dr Toronikanto Roy Award to NSD professor Abhilash Pillai, Natya Sanmilan Award to renowned dramatist Akhil Chakraborty, and Mahendra Borthakur Award to Arup Borthakur.
Various other artistes will also be felicitated during the programme.
