GUWAHATI: Claiming that Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan’s remark on NRC is controversial, the All Assam Goriya Moriya Yuva-Chatra Parisad (AAGMYCP) expressed their angst by burning the effigies of Imran Khan and AIMIM president Asauddin Owaisi in front of Guwahati Press Club on Monday. The members shouted slogans like, ‘Imran Khan Murdabad’, ‘Imran Khan has no right to comment on internal matters of India’, etc.
General secretary of the AAGMYCP Moinul Hoque said, “India is a secular and peaceful country. So, we warn Imran Khan not to make any controversial statements that might jeopardize the harmony between Hindus and Muslims.” Alleging that Khans’ statement, “mission to genocide the Muslim from Assam and India through NRC” is a way of misleading people, the Parisad also warns Asauddin Owaisi to stay away from dreaming of political benefits by making controversial remarks on NRC.
