Additional District Magistrate Priyanshu Bharadwaj to Initiate Inquiry Into Silsako Eviction

GUWAHATI: Priyanshu Bharadwaj, Additional District Magistrate of the Kamrup (metro) district has been entrusted to conduct an enquiry on the eviction process conducted by the authorities at the Silsako Beel of Guwahati. Assistant Commissioner & Executive Magistrate of Kamrup (metro) district, Bhaskar Jyoti Kalita will assist him regarding this enquiry.

This step was taken as per the notice served by the Assam Human Rights Commission (AHRC) with regard to AHRC Case No 4627 of 2022-23 (9)/3. The officials have been ordered to submit their report within seven days.
