GUWAHATI: Asom Jatiya Parishad (AJP) president Lurinjyoti Gogoi on Monday announced that the party will move ahead with regional forces to remove the BJP (Bharatiya Janata Party) from power in 2021.
Addressing the media, Gogoi said the AJP is working in a war-footing manner to remove the BJP from power in 2021.
"We will move ahead with all the regional bodies who have similar ideologies and doesn't have any alliance with national parties or communal forces. We taken a resolution to have discussions with these regional parties," said Gogoi.
Further, the newly-elected AJP president highlighted the party's political ambitions which were discussed in an executive meeting held on December 27.
Gogoi said if the AJP forms Government then it will try to improve the economic condition of the literate unemployed persons.
"The AJP will give Rs 5,000 to every literate unemployed youth. For the unemployed persons from the economically weaker section, Rs 10,000 will be given," the leader stressed.
He asserted that the AJP has taken a slogan for their campaign - Ghorey Ghorey Aami, Ghorey Ghorey Uparjon (we are in every household, every household will have income).
Further, Gogoi slammed the BJP for announcing schemes to 'woo the voters' and is doing politics of allurement.
Lastly, he added that the AJP workers will visit the constituencies of the BJP and the AGP (Asom Gana Parishad) and make the people aware about the 'false developmental claims' made by the parties.
