All Assam Restaurant To Form Association Soon With Core Committee

GUWAHATI: Efforts are on to form an association – All Assam Restaurant Association – with a 21-member core committee. To this effect, a meeting was held in the presence of 150 restaurant owners at Nedfi House here on Sunday. The meeting took a resolution to form the association.

Guests at the meeting were Chef Atul Lahkar, owner of Heritage Khorika; popular film actress Nishita Goswami who represented her ethic Bengali restaurant Icchapuran; Tapan Baruah, owner of Momo Ghar; Rajnish Goswami, food entrepreneur; Samrat Deka, director, SRD Group; and Bhuban Gam, owner of Gam’s Delicacy. The meeting also took a resolution to create district chapters of the association. Among others, food safety is one of the objectives of forming such an association.
