All Assam Students' Union Felicitates Poet Budhin Barua

GUWAHATI: A delegation of the All Assam Students' Union (AASU) led by its chief advisor Dr. Samujjal Bhattacharya, called on Budhin Barua, poet and litterateur of the Jayanti era and father of Assam Agitation martyr Prasanta Barua, recently, stated a press release.

The delegation felicitated the 96-year old Barua at his residence. Barua expressed his trust on AASU and advised the members to vehemently stick to the demand of implementation of Article 6 of the Assam Accord. He also advised them to respect and keep the faith reposed on them by the people of Assam.
