All India Radio, Guwahati Daily launches fact-check programme on COVID-19

GUWAHATI: The regional news unit of All India Radio, Guwahati Daily has come out with a special fact check programme named ‘Pratirodh’. The special programme is being aired in view to provide accurate information related to any COVID-19 or lockdown related queries.

The programme is being moderated by Manas Pratim Sarma, Pompi Devi and Arunima Goswami who reply to the queries of listeners, through experts and further connecting officials and ministers over phone to for the accurate answer.

The program cross checks all COVID-19 related information so that the listeners can have access to accurate news at a time when fake news circulation in social media is diverting the public.

Manas Pratim Sarma informed that the programme has received immense response from the listeners and as All India Radio is available on digital platform it reaches to larger audience. The programme is providing a platform to the listeners to interact with senior officials, health experts and police officials to clear their queries.

The Prasar Bharati and News Services Division have further promoted the program on social media.
