DIMORIA: The Assam Livestock and Poultry Corporation Ltd. (ALPCL) distributed piglets and ducklings among trained-unemployed persons at a programme - Pothar O Aamar, Bozaar O Aamar (Both fields and markets are ours) - held on its premises on Friday. ALPCL chairman Manoj Saikia was present at the programme as a chief guest. "The economy of the State will boost if the rural economy is strengthened. The ALPCL has trained 15,000 persons to farm domestic animals. Over 4,000 people have already been able to establish themselves in the field," said Saikia. In the programme, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department commissioner secretary Shyam Jagannathan, secretary Rabin Chand Mushahary were also present, among others.
