GUWAHATI: The Assam Minority Development Board (AMDB) has taken an initiative to give financial assistance to around 3,000 needy people who are affected due to lockdown. AMDB chairman Mominul Aowal, on Wednesday, informed that they have started to provide financial aid to people through online bank transfer. Asian Institute of Para Medical Science and Bagdevi Tutorials are assisting AMDB in executing the campaign. Aowal added that the body aims to help more people in the future. Meanwhile, following State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Ranjeet Kumar Dass' appeal to help needy people, workers of the State BJP minority Morcha is helping affected people from far flung areas of the State.
