APCC Gears Up for Assam Assembly Election

GUWAHATI, Jan 15: TheCongress is gearing up for the forthcoming Assam Assembly Election and has intensified its campaigning.

Along with the party works to forge grand alliance with the AIUDF (All India United Democratic Front), Left parties and other organizations, the APCC has started its election campaigning on various organizational levels.

From January 16, the APCC will organize public rallies in all 126 constituencies. The party will hold Booth Sanmilan from February 5 to 20.

On Saturday, under the initiative of the AICC (All India Congress Committee), the APCC will gherao the Raj Bhawan to observe the Farmers' Rights Day.

The APCC has stated that gherao will be staged to protest against the three new 'anti-farmer laws', and price hike of essential commodities including petrol and diesel.
