GUWAHATI: The Kutumba Surakshya Mission on Monday submitted a memorandum to the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina through the Assistant High Commission of Bangladesh to Guwahati, Assam, urging her to ensure the safety, security and dignity of Hindus and Hindu culture in Bangladesh.
The memorandum, signed by president Satya Ranjan Borah and general secretary Geet Kamrupa, stated that it was unfortunate to see such kind of "inhuman behaviour towards the minority Hindus of Bangladesh by the majority of the country". Kutumba Surakshya Mission appealed to the Government of Bangladesh to take necessary action towards ensuring the safety, security and dignity of Hindus in Bangladesh, ensuring the citizenship rights of Hindus in Bangladesh, ensuring the dignity and security of Hindu women, stopping atrocity on Hindus and their families in Bangladesh and providing them with the environment to co-exist with other majority citizens of Bangladesh by observing their own Hindu cultural and religious faith, belief and practices, protecting and ensuring the significance and pride of Hindu temples, Hindu cultural and religious centres and ensuring 'Equality of Life' to Hindus so that they can enjoy sufficient citizenship and human rights in Bangladesh.
