GUWAHATI: The Army Institute of Nursing, Guwahati, is a premier institute established by COAS on August 7, 2006, under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society for female wards of Army personnel and civilians hailing from Northeast organized a lamp lighting ceremony.
Every year, the college celebrates the lamp lighting ceremony, graduation ceremony, and annual day. This year, Maj. Gen. P. S Joshi GOC 51 Sub Area, and Chairman AIN, Brig. Sanjeev Chopra, Dy GOC 51 Sub Area, were the Chief Guest and Guest of Honour, respectively. Lamp lighting is the induction of the freshmen's batch into the nursing profession and pledging to serve humanity. There are 50 promising students in the 2023 BSc Nursing course. The graduation ceremony is a day that marks a new beginning in the lives of graduating students, which signifies passion, commitment, and resilience to move forward despite the hardships in life. This ceremony also included the distribution of the academic excellence awards for outstanding performance in the course. Various rolling trophies, merit certificates, and cash awards were given to the students who were excellent in academics. The annual day is celebrated to acknowledge the students' achievements in all curricular, co-curricular, and extra-curricular activities conducted throughout the year. The chief guest also addressed the gathering. This programme was attended by officers and parents of students, stated a press release.
