Artistes, writers depict lockdown experiences at Dighalipukhuripar, Guwahati

GUWAHATI: A programme depicted the corona-induced lockdown at Dighalipukhuripar here on Sunday.

Organized by the Axam Xahitya Xabha (AXX) in association with Guwahati Artists' Guild, artists, artistes, litterateurs, expressed their personal thoughts conceived during the pandemic-induced lockdown. They expressed their thoughts through songs, recitation of poems, drawing, so on so forth.

Speaking on the programme, AXX president Kuladhar Saikia said, "We had a meeting with the artistes at AXX premises on their problems. We had a talk with the authority concerned as well with some of the NGOs to mitigate the problems of artistes."

A book titled Park Khulisei edited by Jyoti Khataniar was released by AXX the president, senior journalist Mrinal Talukdar, journalist Achyut Kumar Patowary and journalist Gautam Sarma. Some of the noted personalities who were present in the programme include writer Eli Ahmed, singer Trishna Devi, sculptor Biren Singh and others.
