GUWAHATI: Asom Jatiyabadi Yuva Parishad (AJYP) on Tuesday questioned the government about their announcement to fill up 55,000 vacant posts, during the anti-CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) protests.

“The Assam government should not play politics with the unemployed youths of the state”, said AJYP chief advisor Pradeep Kumar Bhuyan while addressing a press meet here. The body demanded that similarly like the BTR agreement, the government should focus on making an agreement with the ULFA for the benefit of the Assamese community. Asom Jatiyabadi Yuva Parishad stated that the inner line permit should be introduced in the state and also the inter-state border issues should be resolved.

Talking about the price hike of LPG and other essential commodities, the body said that the supply department of the state is ‘asleep’. “The price hike is a conspiracy by the government so that they can form the government again in 2021”, Bhuyan asserted.
