GUWAHATI: The issue of seat-sharing between ruling the BJP and the AGP to contest the ensuing Assembly elections will be finalized in March. It will be finalized on the outcome of the ongoing surveys of both the parties about their winning prospects in different Assembly constituencies.
Finance and Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday told reporters that he personally feels that the BJP should field its candidates in some constituencies currently represented by the AGP in the Assam Assembly. "The voters like changes. At present the BJP is holding rallies in Assembly constituencies where the AGP has its sitting MLAs. The AGP is also doing the same. We are trying to read voters' minds," Sarma said.
