GUWAHATI: The Assam Publication Board (APB) and the All Assam Book Sellers' Association (AANSA) will hold the Assam Book Fair outside Guwahati at various places in the state for the first time. They will hold the book fair first from November 4-13 at Dhemaji. Education Minister Ranoj Pegu will inaugurate the book fair at Dhemaji. Noted writer Yeshe Dorjee Thongchi will be the chief guest.
The APB and the AANSA will hold the book fair from November 8-19 at Nalbari, December 2-11 at Jorhat and from December 29-January 9 in Guwahati.
The publication board will present various awards to different personalities year in Guwahati. While there will be no tickets at the book fair in Nalbari, 3000 noted writers will get free entry at the book fair at Dhemaji. Entry is free for students at all the book fair venues.
