Guwahati: Rajasthan Royal’s middle order Batsman Riyan Parag on Tuesday praised Assam Cricket Association (ACA) for their constant support during the initial stage of his cricketing carrier.

Addressing a press conference at his residence in Guwahati’s Kharguli, The teenager and star player from Assam claimed that before going to Indian Premier League (IPL) Assam Cricket Association had provided him all the necessary opportunities which have helped him to grow as a better cricketer...“say it net practicing to bowling or fielding, I am being constantly guided by my coaches and guides from ACA,” said Riyan Parag.

Also talking about the Indian Premier League (IPL), Riyan Parag said that such kind of cricketing platform helps a player to grow stronger as an International player. “My IPL experience has helped me a lot and I have enjoyed each and every single moment while sharing the same dressing room with all the top cricketers from the world,” added Riyan Parag.

Riyan also mentioned that being that playing at Jaipur was normal as it was the home ground of the Rajasthan Royals franchise, the players were well aware of the ground conditions making it more easier for both the batsman and bowlers to play on.

Speaking about his experience while playing against Kolkata Knight Riders, Riyan said that he was quite nervous before making it to ground while playing against KKR. “Playing at the Eden Gardens was really tough, moreover, you play in front of 60,000 spectators under pressure, therefore, one has to stay calm and focus on his game and that makes easy to a player to move on,” shared Riyan Parag.

The star batsman from Assam also mentioned that playing against the top class bowlers from all the parts of the world in IPL 2019 was a great experience. “It's all about seeing the ball and hit the ball, don’t see who the bowler is bowling to you, it is the skill which will take over everything, cricket depends on the mindset of the players and one has to adjust in all the three cricketing formats accordingly,” Riyan added further.
