GUWAHATI: N F Railway has decided to continue the service of a few special trains to clear the extra rush of passengers. The special trains will run as per their existing days of service, timings, stoppages, and composition. Also, it has been decided to run a special train between Kamakhya and Delhi in both directions for a single trip.

Accordingly, special train no. 08047 (Santragachi-Guwahati) will continue with its services from December 1 until December 29, 2023. The train will depart from Santragachi at 18:00 every Friday to reach Guwahati at 15:00 the next day. Similarly, services of special train no. 08048 (Guwahati-Santragachi) will be extended from December 2 to 30. The train will depart from Guwahati at 16:45 hours every Saturday to reach Santragachi at 12:30 hours the next day. Special train no. 03103 (Sealdah-New Jalpaiguri) will continue with its services from December 2 to 30. The train will depart from Sealdah at 23:40 hours every Saturday to reach New Jalpaiguri at 10:45 hours the next day. Similarly, services of special train no. 03104 (New Jalpaiguri-Sealdah) will be extended from December 3 until 31. The train will depart from New Jalpaiguri at 12:45 hours every Sunday to reach Sealdah at 00:30 hours the next day.

Special train no. 07046 (Secunderabad-Dibrugarh) will continue with its services from December 4 until January 29, 2024. The train will depart from Secunderabad at 11:00 hours every Monday to reach Dibrugarh at 20:50 a.m. on Wednesday. Similarly, services of special train no. 07047 (Dibrugarh-Securunderabad) will be extended from December 7 until February 1, 2024. The train will depart from Dibrugarh at 09:10 hours every Thursday to reach Secunderabad at 16:30 hours on Saturday.

Moreover, special train no. 05624 (Kamakhya-New Delhi) will run for a single trip on December 4. The train will start its journey from Kamakhya at 23:00 hours to reach New Delhi at 12:00 hours on December 6. In the return direction, train no. 05623 (New Delhi-Kamakhya) will run for a single trip on December 6. The train will start its journey from New Delhi at 15:10 hours to reach Kamakhya at 03:30 hours on December 8.

Another special train no. 05626 (Kamakhya-Delhi Jn.) will run for a single trip on December 9. The train will start its journey from Kamakhya at 06:30 hours to reach Delhi Jn. at 21:45 hours on December 10. In the return direction, train no. 05625 (Delhi Jn.-Kamakhya) will run for a single trip on December 11. The train will start its journey from Delhi Jn. at 07:35 hours to reach Kamakhya at 22:45 hours on December 12.

However, train no. 22504 (Dibrugarh-Kanyakumari) express commencing journey on December 2 and 3, train no. 12510 (Guwahati-SMVT Bengaluru) express commencing journey on December 3 and 4, and train no. 15630 (Silghat Town-Tambaram) express commencing journey on December 8 have been cancelled due to possible adverse effects of cyclone MICHAUNG hitting the coastal part of Andhra Pradesh, stated a press release.
