Assam Government shuffles bureaucrats

GUWAHATI: The State Government shuffled IAS, IPS, ACS and APS officers today, including four deputy commissioners.

The government transferred and posted Bajali SDO Cauvery Barkakati Sarma as Majuli Deputy Commission, Hojai SDO Simanta Kumar Das as Dima Hasao Deputy Commissioner, Tamulpur SDO Bidyut Bikash Bhagawati as South Sarma DC, Majuli DC Pulak Mahanta as Jorhat DC with effect from January 31 on superannuation of Jorhat DC Ashok Kumar Barma, Biswanath SDO Munindra Nath Ngatey as Darrang DC and Joint Secretary to the Finance Department; Director, etc., as Tinsukia DC and Additional Secretary to the Department Soil Conservation etc., Pallabi Phukan as Dhemaji DC.

The government also transferred and posted Barpeta ADC Lachit Kumar Das as Hojai ADC, Gohpur ADC Dipan Burman as Rangiya ADC, Housing and Urban Affairs Deputy Secretary Purabi Gogoi as Bajali ADC, Kamrup (M) ADC Jay Shivani as Biswanath ADC and Deputy Secretary of Home and Political Department as Titabor ADC.

The government also transferred and posted SP, SB (R&AC) Gaurav Upadhyay as Project Director of the World Bank-assisted Transport Project and ASDMA; CO of Fourth APBn, Kalilipara Siladitya Chetia as Secretary to the Home and Political Department; Titabor ADC Gayatri Devidas Hyalinge as Deputy Secretary to the Finance Department; Tinsukia DC Pawar Narsing Sambhaja as Secretary to the Department of Finance; Dhemaji DC Ashim Kr Bhattacharya as Additional Secretary to the Home and Political Department; Tinsukia ADC Dipu Kumar Deka as Deputy Secretary to the Department of Soil Conservation; Rangiya ADC Javir Rahul Suresh as Deputy Secretary to the GAD; Darrang DC Pranab Kumar Sarma as Additional Secretary to the Assam Women and Child Development Department; AIGP (Administration and Estd) Manabendra Dev Ray as Joint Secretary to INPR Department; and Higher Education etc., Secretary Narayan Konwar as Secretary to the Department of School Education as an additional charge.
