Assam Government shuffles police officers with immediate effect

GUWAHATI: The Assam Government shuffled a number of top police officers on Saturday with immediate effect.

While Hailakandi ASP (HQ) Barun Purkayastha has been transferred and posted as the Commandant of 1st APBn at Ligiripukhuri in Sivasagar, Udalguri ASP Additional (HQ) Mayank Kumar has been transferred and posted as the Commandant of Commando Battalion at Mandakata.

Nalbari ASP (HQ) Sumeet Sharma has been transferred and posted as the Superintendent of Police of Vigilance and Anti Corruption, Assam, while Dhemaji ASP (HQ) Shwetank Mishra has transferred and posted as the SP SB(Z) at Kahilipara in Guwahati.

While Vigilance and Anti Corruption AP Khanindra Kr. Choudhury has been transferred and posted as BI(EO-1) SP, Guwahati; Guwahati Border Police SP Mukul Saikia has been transferred and posted as Commandant of 2nd AFPF Bn at Jakhalabandha.

1st APBn Commandant Debasish Sharma of Ligiripukhuri, Sivasagar has been transferred and posted as Border SP, Guwahati. BI(EO-1) SP Navin Singh has been transferred and posted as SP of SB(S), Guwahati.
