GUWAHATI: North Cachar Hills Autonomous Council (NCHAC) Chief Executive Member Debolal Gorlosa along with other members of the NCHAC met Assam Governor Gulab Chand Kataria at Raj Bhavan on Tuesday..
During the meeting, they discussed several issues ranging from women literacy to development of cottage industry. Kataria said that as the land has a bamboo reserve, they should make it a major industry and concentrate on value addition to bamboo. The Governor said that considering the potential of bamboo, the Council could create many jobs through the industry. The Governor also asked the CEM and EMs to work hard to meet the expectations of the people. At the same time, he also assured that Raj Bhavan, Assam would always be available to help in the development of the areas falling under NCHAC, stated a press release.
