Guwahati: Six students from the Kamrup Metro district have come out with flying colours as they secured ranks in the HSLC exam which results were declared by the Secondary Education Board of Assam (SEBA) on Tuesday.
Of these six students, two are rank 7 holders and they are Ashlesha Sarma from ST Mary's Higher Secondary School, Guwahati and Nisha Sarma from T C Govt Girls' HS & MP School, Guwahati. Both students have secured 591 marks.
Anasuya Thakuria from G. U. Model High School with 589 marks has secured rank 9.
The remaining three students have got rank 10 with each scoring 588 marks and they are Saurav Barman from Assam Jatiya Bidyalay, Noonmati, and Mayank Agarwal from Nichols High School, Satribari, Jurishma Chakarvarty from ST. Stephens School.
Meanwhile, the pass percentage has dropped drastically this year as only 56.49 per cent has finally made it to the merit list. A total of 2,29,131 students cleared the HSLC, Class 10 exam 2022 successfully.
Last year, the pass percentage in the HSLC exam was 93.10 per cent as a total of 3,97,132 had come out with flying colours.
