GUWAHATI: With the Assam Police's extensive drive against drugs and narcotics in the State, the Dispur Police arrested three persons from the six mile area of Guwahati.

As per police, 26 grams of drugs suspected to be brown sugar was also recovered. The apprehended has been identified as Ismamuddim, Rekibuddin and Aurangzeb all hailing from Manipur. On the other hand, city crime branch arrested one 25-year-old, Jintu Mandal from the Dispur area and seized 6 grams of suspected drugs and cash worth Rs. 1, 72,000.

Mandal hails from West Krishna Nagar, Lalganesh in Guwahati.

Continuing with the drive, Basistha police further arrested two persons along with 8 kilo gram of ganja from their possession in Patorkuchi. The appredened were identifed as Mukul Ahmed (32) who hails from Bakrapara in Basistha and Mafida Begam (42) hails from Naptipara, Mongoldoi.
