GUWAHATI: In an initiative to boost the immunity of the police personnel of Guwahati, a series of AYUSH health camps is going to be organized in the city, stated a press release.
The initiative was started at the Guwahati Police Reserve in Paltan Bazaar on Friday. The AYUSH medication was ceremonially started when Dr Amulya Ratna Sahoo, officer in-charge, RRH and Dr Ekta, research officer (Ayurveda), CARI, handed over the medication to Hemanta Kumar Das, DCP (Administration), Guwahati Police.
The initiative, under the aegis of the Ministry of AYUSH, involves distribution of Shamsamani Vati and Ashwagandha Vati of ayurveda and Arsenicam Album 30 of homeopathy after consultation with the doctors of ayurveda and homeopathy at these camps. These are clinically proven medicines to boost the immune system.
Speaking about this initiative, Hemanta Kumar Das said, "Our personnel are at the frontline and we must remain healthy to serve people better. Such camps will bring immense value to our force to keep a check on their well being."
Talking about the benefits of Ashwagandha and Shamsamani Vati, Dr Ekta said, "Shamshamani Vati has rich medicinal properties that helps to boost one's immunity and enhance the human body's ability to fight various bacterial and viral infections. Ashwagandha helps in controlling stress and anxiety of a person."
