Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: Amrit Kalash Yatra begins in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: As a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav for the completion of 75 years of India's independence and to mark the beginning of the Amrit Kal of the country, the Amrit Kalash Yatra started on Wednesday. As a part of this celebration, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation has announced that they will be organising the Amrit Kalash Yatra in each of the wards of the corporation on Thursday. They mentioned that they would be collecting a fistful of rice or soil from each household as a part of this initiative.

They also mentioned that, along with the officials and elected ward members, senior and eminent citizens, NGOs, and other organisations will also be taking part in the celebration of this event. They have also appealed to the public to take an active part in the celebration and donate rice or soil to make this event a success among the masses.
