Bank manager detained in Dispur College case

GUWAHATI: The police on Friday detained for questioning the Chief Manager of the Bank of Baroda's Dispur branch, one Rajesh Kumar Sinha, along with two women employees of the bank in connection with the fraudulently withdrawal of Rs 76,34,900 from the bank account of the Dispur College. Describing it a case of cheque manipulation, Guwahati Police Commissioner Harmeet Singh told the media on Friday that East Guwahati Police District (EGPD) personnel are investigating the matter and the case will be solved very soon.
