GUWAHATI: The ST Morcha of the State unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will take out Rath Yatras from Sadiya to Dhubri between November 1 and November 26.
According to sources in the ST Morcha, the Rath Yatras will start from four separate places and end at four different places. The first one will be from Dhubri to Barpeta, the second one will be from Sadiya to Barpeta, the third one will start at Dhemaji and cover five districts, while the last one will take place in the Barak Valley.
The Rath Yatras will mainly cover 3,000 ST-inhabited villages with the aim of ascertaining whether benefits of various schemes of the Central and State Government have reached these areas.
The participants of the Rath Yatras will also with various sections of society. The closing ceremony will be held at Barpeta, wherein 3,000 new members will join the BJP, the sources said.
