GUWAHATI: In the run-up to the Assembly election in the State, the BJP Assam Pradesh has formed three crucial committees – the core committee, the election committee and the disciplinary action committee – on Thursday.
The office-bearers of the new core committee of the party are – Ranjeet Kumar Dass as the president, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA (North East Democratic Alliance) convener Himanta Biswa Sarma, BJP's national general secretary Dilip Saikia, Ramen Deka, Rajen Gohain, Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya, MP Queen Oja, Minister Parimal Suklabaidya, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasha, MP Rajdeep Roy, ex-MP Biswajit Daimary, Vijay Kumar Gupta, and Phanindra Nath Sarma. Three special invitee members of the committee are – party's national vice-president and Assam in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, Assam co-incharge Pawan Sharma and NE Zonal Organization secretary Ajay Jamwal.
Apart from Ranjeet Kumar Dass as the president, Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, NEDA convener Himanta Biswa Sarma and BJP's national general secretary Dilip Saikia; the election committee of the party comprises Union Minister Rameswar Teli, Minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, Minister Ranjit Dutta, MP Rajdeep Roy, Bimal Oswal, Biswajit Daimary, Parimal Suklabaidya, Phanindra Nath Sarma, Aparajita Bhuyan, and the three invitee members – party's national vice-president and Assam in-charge Baijayant Jay Panda, Assam co-in-charge Pawan Sharma and NE Zonal Organization secretary Ajay Jamwal.
The disciplinary action committee formed with Vijay Kumar Gupta as the chairman has Mission Ranjan Das, Bijan Mahajan, Santanu Bharali and Dhira Talukdar as members.
All the three committees have been formed by Dass with approval from the national party president JP Nadda.
