Body of Assamese youth recovered at Byrnihat

GUWAHATI: Byrnihat Police has recoverd the body of a youth on Sunday. The youth of 22 years has been identified as Sandeep Bhuyan.

The body is of an Assamese youth Identified as Sandeep Bhuyan. It was recovered from the roadside at Byrnihat. That are marks of strangulation on his neck. His bike and mobile are missing. After recovering the body, Meghalaya police informed all the police stations in Assam and Meghalaya. Police sources informed that though the deceased hailed from Majuli, he stayed at Swaraj Nagar near Bagheswari Mandir in the city. He worked in the office of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited in Ulubari.

Bhuyan was missing since the evening of November 20. In this regard, his family members filed an FIR (First Information Report) in Paltan Bazar Police Station.

On Tuesday, Paltan Bazar Police took charge of the body from Meghalaya police, and handed it over to the deceased's family members.
