BSF seizes 18 kg ganja, 710 Phensedyl bottles

GUWAHATI: In three separate operations, troops of Guwahati Frontier of Border Security Force (BSF), foiled attempt of narcotics smuggling at Indo-Bangladesh Border and seized18 kg of ganja, 710 bottles of Phensedyl from Kaiterbari, Sitai, and Daribas villages in Coochbehar district of West Bengal on January 24.

Acting on a tip-off, BSF troops of Border Out Post (BOP) Sitai of 100Bn BSF carried out an operation in Kaiterbari village and seized18 kg of ganja and 250 bottles of Phensedyl, while the consignments were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.

In the second operation, BSF troops of BOP Chitracoot of 100Bn BSF seized160 bottles of Phensedyl from Sitai village. The seized items were handed over to Sitai PS for further disposal.

In another operation, the BSF troops of BOP Daribas of 38Bn BSF seized 300 bottles of Phensedyl from Daribas village. The bottles were handed over to Dinhata PS, stated a release.
