GUWAHATI: In two separate operations, troops of Border Security Force under Guwahati Frontier apprehended one Bangladeshi smuggler and one Indian smuggler from the bordering areas of Dharla and Digaltari villages under Coochbehar district of West Bengal on Monday night.
Acting on a tip off, the BSF troops carried out a operation in Dharla village and apprehended the Indian smuggler – Mojab far Hoque (28) along with Paddy seeds, while these contrabands were being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
In the second operation at Digaltari village, the troops apprehended one Bangladeshi narcotics' smuggler along with Ganja, while it was being smuggled from India to Bangladesh.
The smuggler has been identified as MdJahrul Islam (48).
Apprehended smugglers along with seized items were handed over to Sahebganj Police Station for further legal action, stated a release.
