Byatikram International Writers’ meet organized in Guwahati

 GUWAHATI: The Department of English of Dispur College, under the aegis of IQAC, in association with Byatikram Masdo, organized the Byatikram International Writers’ Meet 2023 on Saturday in its auditorium.

The programme was graced by delegates from almost 10 countries, such as Egypt, Argentina, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Germany, Russia, Malaysia, Bangladesh, and India. The inaugural speech was delivered by Dr. Nabajyoti Borah, Principal, Dispur College. In his speech, Dr. Borah expressed his happiness at organising this event. He mentioned that this programme will be a stepping stone for upcoming young writers to showcase their talent. Dr. Sanjib Kumar Sarma, H.O.D., Department of English, introduced the guests and mentioned the agenda of the meeting. The delegates recited their self-composed poems before the audience. The faculty members of the institution, students of the English Department, and other students also expressed their creativity before the audience. The faculties of the department, Dr. Binoy Chetia, Smriti Deori, Sutibra Malakar, and Swarnali Kalita, coordinated the smooth conduct of the event, stated a press release.
