Cancel Higher Secondary 1st year exam: Asom Chatra Parishad (ACP)

GUWAHATI: The Asom Chatra Parishad (ACP), the students' wing of the AGP (Asom Gana Parishad), appealed to the Chairman of the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (ASHEC) to cancel the HS First Year examinations, and promote all the students to HS Second Year to let them prepare for the HS final examinations.

In a memorandum submitted to the AHSEC Chairman, the ACP said, "Since the ASHEC delayed the HS First Year examination, it will affect the students preparing for the final year examinations. Even if the Council holds the HS First Year Examination now, many flood-affected students will be unable to appear in it. The indecisive stand of the AHSEC on examinations will affect the students. In such a situation, we appeal to the Council to cancel the HS First Year Examinations and promote all the students to HS Second Year. It will help the students prepare for the HS final examinations."
