CM Himanta Biswa Sarma releases book on Kanaklata Barua

GUWAHATI: A Book titled 'Kanaklata Barua: The Forgotten Assam's Teenage Martyr', which has been written by Ashmita Paul, a young karate athlete from Guwahati, was released by the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma at Janata Bhavan here on Tuesday. Ashmita said that the book written in English is an effort to popularize the bravery of Kanaklata Barua among young boys and girls of the country, which would go a long way in sowing the seeds of nation building in young minds, informed a press release.
