GUWAHATI: A day-long state-level conference on the theme “Foundational Literacy and Numeracy” (FLN) was hosted by South Point School and organized by CBSE on Friday.
A total of 155 principals and teachers from 60 schools in Guwahati and other towns and cities in Assam attended the conference. Students of South Point School performed chorus and group dance at the inauguration that was presided over by Thonglet Mate, Regional Officer, Guwahati, who gave his opening address stating the significance and purpose of the conference. The conference was conducted by Mitra Som Saha, Principal, St. Vivekananda English Academy, Guwahati; Dr. Saru Joshi, Associate Professor, School of Education, USTM, Meghalaya; and Professor B. P. Sahu, Head, CDE, NEHU, Shillong, on G20, all followed by Q&A sessions.
A quiz on FNL, NEP, and G20 was also conducted for the participants. It concluded with a valedictory ceremony where all principals and teachers were presented certificates of participation, stated a press release.
