Congress MLAs Provide Ambulances for COVID-19 Patients in their Respective LACs

GUWAHATI: In view of the rising demand for ambulances for transporting Covid patient in the state, the Member of Legislative Assembly of Indian National Congress (INC) (state unit) has decided to provide 2 ambulances by each MLA in their respective Constituency for the Covid patient from Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) Local Area Development (LAD) Fund.

Notably, 17 MLAs have already assured to provide 37 ambulances in total in their respective constituencies while the rest 12 MLAs will very shortly give their consent of providing the said vehicles.

Further, Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) has requested Assam Government to release the MLA LAD fund immediately.

With a total of 58 ambulances that will be provided by the INC MLAs of the state, currently, the 17 MLAs who have committed to providing the ambulances are Debabrata Saikia, Rakibul Hussain, Sibamoni Bora, Abdul Batin khandakar, Wazed Ali Choudhury, Sherman Ali Ahmed, Bhaskar Jyoti Barua, Nurul Huda, Rekibuddin Ahmed, Pradip Sarkar, Ashif Mahammad Nazar, Abdur Rahim Ahmed, Jadav Swargiary, Abdus Sobhan Ali Sarkar, Khaliluddin Mazumder, Abdur Rashid Mandal, and Bharat Narah.
