Contractual Secondary Education teachers of Assam to get regular pay

GUWAHATI: The State Government has announced that henceforth additional teachers engaged on contractual basis under the Secondary Education (SE) Department will receive their salary under the Rules of Pay (ROP) system instead of the Fixation of Ceiling (FOC) system.

The Secretary of the Secondary Education Department issued a Notification to this effect on Wednesday.

This means that the way has been paved for around 5,000 contractual assistant teachers of secondary schools to receive regular salaries, as opposed to irregular payment till now.
